Pneumatic Knife Edge Gate Valve is similar to gate valves in design and is originally designed for usage in the pulp and paper industries. It can cut through thick, porous medium that may include a high concentration of suspended particulates, which previously created difficulties with valves not seating entirely and so leaking. It is very economical to use. This soft sealing surface is often used in low-pressure systems and is not designed to withstand high pressure. This valve is intended for isolation rather than throttled or partial-flow applications.
